Hi All: I am working in the field of energy efficient scheduling in IaaS cloud model. I am developing a scheduler to evaluate consolidation based policies and approaches, and now I am searching for a hardware simulator e.g. to simulate CPU, disk, network. I have found SimFlex as a hardware simulator and I would like to integrate it as a hardware backend with my scheduler. However, I would like to know your opinion about this?
1) I want to have a cluster like simulation, consists of a number of nodes. e.g. to simulate IaaS cloud infrastructure. 2) Whether SimFlex can offer monitoring service to show workload variability during a workload execution, e.g. the amount of CPU, memory that is used by applications are usually variable during time?
