Hello,

I am working on Simics 3.0.31 with Ubuntu 10.10
(ubuntu-10.10-server-amd64.iso). While I install Ubuntu 10.10 on CPU class
x86-hammer, I get an error complaining that there is no CD-ROM. I used
dredd-cd-install1.simics
and my only modification from default script is the size of disk(96GB) and
no AGP (select PCI instead). The Ubuntu installation was started
successfully until hardware detection. However, once the installation
encounters "Detect and mount CD-ROM", it stops and complains as follows.

"Your installation CD-ROM couldn't be mounted. This probably means that the
CD-ROM was not in the drive. If so you can insert it and try again.
Try again to mount the CD-ROM?"

I don't know why the Ubuntu can't detect the CD-ROM. I performed the same
steps with Simics 4.6 and it worked fine. So I think there is no issue in
Ubuntu image. I hope that I am not the only one who experienced this issue.
Thank you for your help in advance.
Sincrely,
Seunghee Shin
