Hi, I am new to SimFlex. I have some doubts regarding CMP implementations using Flexus.
I ran the test application as given in the Flexus Getting Started Guide 3.0.0 using the TraceFlex and UniFlex simulator. The time_breakdown.xls file showed the Total CPI to be 1.13. Then I set the parameters in prepare-test-app-v9.simics as: @test_app_threads = 4, num_cpus = 4, megs_per_cpu = 128, and used TraceCMPFlex and CMPFlex instead. The time_breakdown.xls file showed the Total CPI to be 1.16 which was not what was expected. Could you please tell me where I have gone wrong? Regards, Viraj Athavale LAP, EPFL.
