I am trying to use simh-vax780 from simh 3.8-0 and 3.8-1 on NetBSD/i386 to boot historical 4.0BSD: http://zazie.tom-yam.or.jp/starunix/4.0bsd/4.0bsd.html or http://sourceforge.net/project/shownotes.php?release_id=659765
See the error below: t1:vax780$ simh-vax780 tboot.init VAX780 simulator V3.8-1 RP: creating new file Overwrite last track? [N] y HALT instruction, PC: 00050033 (HALT) =mkfs file sys size: 7942 file system: hp(0,0) isize = 5072 m/n = 3 500 =restor Tape? ht(0,1) Disk? hp(0,0) Last chance before scribbling on disk. End of tape =boot Boot : hp(0,0)vmunix 87844+15464+130300 start 0x530 Process PTE in P0 or P1 space, PC: 80007E43 (XORW3 @-7035(AP),@D0FD2A4A,@-70B0(R1)) I also get that error when attempting to boot using my dboot.init file. Any ideas on how to resolve this? My real goal is to simply extract the files from the tape file. If you can help me extract the files instead of booting it that would be great too. _______________________________________________ Simh mailing list [email protected] http://mailman.trailing-edge.com/mailman/listinfo/simh
