well for the Unix stuff, I actually just modified the source to the
bootloaders to just boot unix automatically......

I remember for 32v I even had the bootloader print up the caldera license,
then boot up right away.... it seemed like an easier (and more "portable" )
solution for booting unix....

in my case, booting isn't the main reason for wanting scripting.
I recently installed and configured unix v6 from tape and would like
to script the whole process to make it easy to reproduce and for
documentary purposes.

(I haven't yet tried expect).
