Indeed. Something like that might be an interesting proof of concept, especially since the PDP-1 video system is probably better documented than any of the VAXstation video cards. Still, figuring out an abstraction layer for simple video would go a long way towards getting a system that can eventually support more complex things like virtual video cards for the VAX and S-100 simulators.
