That probably refers to Yahoo's recent(?) absurd requirements. It seems that they want that a mailing list doesn't keep the originator's From: header but forges it to be its own. The problem with what Yahoo and other sites are suggesting is that the Internet Engineering Task Force, in the Internet Message Format RFC (RFC2822, found at http://www.ietf.org/rfc/rfc2822.txt) specifically states In all cases, the "From:" field SHOULD NOT contain any mailbox that does not belong to the author(s) of the message. See also section 3.6.3 for more information on forming the destination addresses for a reply. And on http://yahoomail.tumblr.com/post/82426900353/yahoo-dmarc-policy-change-what-should-senders-do they actually admit they are really breaking all mailing lists: As of this publication, no common mailing list packages provide straightforward configuration options that produce DMARC compatibility, I vote for the Usenet Death Penalty for Yahoo. -Olaf. -- ___ Olaf 'Rhialto' Seibert -- The Doctor: No, 'eureka' is Greek for \X/ rhialto/at/xs4all.nl -- 'this bath is too hot.'
