Hi all, I have asked this question just about everywhere on the Internet *except* the SIMH mailing list, which is silly, because it directly relates to SIMH.
Anyway, I have been implementing an AT&T 3B2 emulator for SIMH for quite a while now. It's slow going because the internals of the 3B2 are not well documented. That the emulator works at all is something of a miracle, and is only because the WE32100 manual is so thorough, and because somebody long ago leaked AT&T's SVR3 source code. The emulator currently boots into the 3B2 firmware and can read files off of floppy images. The MMU is not fully implemented, so it cannot yet load UNIX. There are bugs bad enough to prevent loading diagnostics from floppy, and I'm working on those now. I will have access to a real 3B2/310 starting next week, which I hope will speed things along as I will be able to compare real program behavior against my simulator. It's something of a long shot, but if anyone in earshot of this list has 3B2 experience, especially if you have docs or insider knowledge about systems internals, I'd love your help. Thank you! -Seth -- Seth Morabito [email protected] _______________________________________________ Simh mailing list [email protected] http://mailman.trailing-edge.com/mailman/listinfo/simh
