I assume you'd be able to plug a TC11 into the VAX UNIBUS adapter, but *why* you would do that is beyond me...

Enable the TDC device and you should be able to use those tapes in the correct versions of VMS. The VAX-11/750 tapes are specific for the VAX-11/750, while the other TU58 tapes should be sufficiently generic. The 11/730, and 11/750 simulators both support the TDC (TU58) device as well. Of note though, if you're using the pre-built Windows binaries of SIMH, the 11/730 and 11/750 simulators are non-functional. The last Windows build which has them working was the commit d8306093 build from February 15th (" simh-4.0-Beta--2015-02-15-d8306093.zip"). Regards, Christian -- Christian M.
