If you want to try and build them please have at it.

Meanwhile they explicitly aren’t being built since they are absolutely not 
intended to be used.

How about adding the alpha, ibmpc, ibmpcxt targets? I don't know how far along 
they are, but they are included in the source and have make targets ("make 
alpha" for example), or is there some reason they shouldn't be included?

An ‘experimental’ make target now exists.  It only contains one simulator since
the previously mentioned besm6 simulator has been promoted to be included in the
‘all’ make target.

I notice that there re several experimental simulators in the git distribution.

There doesn't seem to be a list of all the experimental versions..

Could a make target be added to build them, like 'make experimetal'. Would make 
it easier to see if the code gets broken, if nothing else.
