xkcd aside, besides the info that Alan mentioned, a more help web site for you might be Oscar Vermeulen's PiDP-8 site: http://obsolescence.wixsite.com/obsolescence/pidp-8
He has a very cool PDP-8 running an RPi using Sim-* under the covers. The key is that he has a number of pre-configured OS's set up you can download and examine. Check out: http://obsolescence.wixsite.com/obsolescence/pidp-software--documentation Good luck, Clem Cole On Sat, Jun 24, 2017 at 1:38 PM, Clem Cole <cl...@ccc.com> wrote: > https://xkcd.com/927/ > > On Sat, Jun 24, 2017 at 12:53 PM, Al Kossow <a...@bitsavers.org> wrote: > >> >> >> On 6/24/17 9:40 AM, Buddy Bell wrote: >> > Googling does not >> > show any DEC PDP centric forums (So I created my own Yahoo group >> > https://groups.yahoo.com/neo/groups/VintageDEC/info) >> >> Great, fragment things even more. >> Starting something new on Yahoo is a REALLY bad idea. >> >> >> search for alt.sys.pdp8 (or alt.sys.pdp10, alt.sys.pdp11) for existing >> USENET discussion groups >> >> also available at https://groups.google.com/forum/#!forum/alt.sys.pdp8 >> >> >> _______________________________________________ >> Simh mailing list >> Simh@trailing-edge.com >> http://mailman.trailing-edge.com/mailman/listinfo/simh >> > >
