Hello, The first part of Jim Blinn's talk has some intresting technical details about him using a PDP-9 with a Type 339 display:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AiwR1PKxMsY I found this report "An Executive System for a DEC 339 Computer Display Terminal". https://deepblue.lib.umich.edu/bitstream/handle/2027.42/5732/bac5133.0001.001.pdf It has a large software listing, so maybe it can be made to run. The 339 manual is on bitsavers. Essentially, the display has its own 12-bit processor.
