We will never run out of numbers. Let us call the current one 2.1.0
and get people to use it. Fixes will go into 2.1.x and your new
changes to 2.2.0. As often as you like, just say that your new
features are stable and let us make a 2.y.0. Who cares if we end up
with 2.52.0 in a year? That's a valid version number in my book,
whereas svn revision numbers are not.

We are working with the current svn tip, but will need to make a
debian package soon with a frozen timeline version. If you do not add
a 2.1.0 tag soon, we will beat you to it ;)
