Hi all,

I'd like to know if it's possible to control, for a given band, the
start date and the stop date.
For instance, I'd like to be able to do something like :

  Timeline.createBandInfo({
        eventSource:    mySource,
        width:          "20%",
        startDate:           new Date(1900, 1, 1),
        stopDate:           new Date(1940, 1, 1)
      }),

and then have my band spanning from 1900 to 1940.

I could not find any information in the FAQ and a quick look at the
code lets me think
that it's not that obvious.

Besides, the wiki
(http://code.google.com/p/simile-widgets/wiki/Timeline_Ideas) suggests
an interesting idea that would suit my needs :

"""
Ability to easily create a band with a view width that shows the
entire lifespan from the earliest
event the latest. It wouldn't scroll, but clicking it would center the
other bands on that date.
It would not necessarily need labels or an interval unit, just markers
for all the events.
It would show all the events at the same time, with the layout,
amount, and distribution of
events in a single band.
"""

I'm willing to try to implement this during my spare time in the next
weeks. Any idea
on where I should start ?

Cheers,
Adrien.
