I'm using Firefox 3 on Windows, and have reproduced this in IE7 on
Windows as well.
The JSON and HTML below reproduce the problem. The HTML is based
closely on the sample code on the wiki, and the JSON is very simple,
but with long titles. On my screen, "This is not an unusually long
title but you probably can't read the end of it" is truncated to "This
is not an unusually long title". If you look closely, it looks like
the contents are wrapping.
<html>
<head>
<title>Broken Timeline</title>
<span style="background:#FFFFE0">
<script src="http://simile.mit.edu/timeline/api/timeline-api.js"
type="text/javascript"></script>
</span>
<script>
var tl;
function onLoad() {
var eventSource = new Timeline.DefaultEventSource();
var bandInfos = [
Timeline.createBandInfo({
eventSource: eventSource,
width: "70%",
intervalUnit: Timeline.DateTime.HOUR,
intervalPixels: 100
}),
Timeline.createBandInfo({
eventSource: eventSource,
showEventText: false,
width: "20%",
intervalUnit: Timeline.DateTime.DAY,
intervalPixels: 200
})
];
bandInfos[1].syncWith = 0;
bandInfos[1].highlight = true;
bandInfos[1].eventPainter.setLayout(bandInfos[0].eventPainter.getLayout());
tl = Timeline.create(document.getElementById("my-timeline"),
bandInfos);
tl.loadJSON("broken-events.js", function(json, url) {
eventSource.loadJSON(json, url);
});
}
var resizeTimerID = null;
function onResize() {
if (resizeTimerID == null) {
resizeTimerID = window.setTimeout(function() {
resizeTimerID = null;
tl.layout();
}, 500);
}
}
</script>
</head>
<body onload="onLoad();" onresize="onResize();">
<div id="my-timeline" style="height: 550px; border: 1px solid
#aaa"></div>
</body>
</html>
{
'dateTimeFormat': 'iso8601',
'events': [
{
'start':"2008-10-04 00:00:00 -0600",
'title':"This is my example and it is actually very long"
}, {
'start':"2008-10-04 00:00:00 -0600" ,
'end':"2008-10-05 00:00:00 -0600" ,
