Hi Rich, I have not looked into the Google/Timeline widget myself, but my first question would be whether it is using the most recent version of the Timeline sw or not. My suspicion is "not."
If you have skills as a Javascript programmer, the task would be to integrate the Google widget into the main Trunk of the Timeline development, along with either tests or at least test examples. That way it will be updated as the main code is updated and released. In the meantime, you may want to investigate Exhibit, which is the big brother to Timeline.
