Hi, I'm using Exhibit, and am having a hard time overriding default behavior for items that appear in the colleciton. I'm using the latest Exhibit from static.simile.mit.edu/exhibit/api-2.0/.
I'm trying to chnage the behavior so that a simple mouseover (rather than a click) will bring up the popup view of the item. I've overridden Exhibit.UI.makeItemSpan, trying a handulf of different syntaxes I've found in various examples, but the code I've added simply is not overriding the default code. I'm getting no errors in FF3 and Firebug shows nothing wrong. It simply does not work. My sample page is at http://athome.harvard.edu/html/hath.html I'm probably missing something fairly obvious here -- but I can't figure out what it is. Can anyone help?
