See the trackNum attribute, described here:
http://code.google.com/p/simile-widgets/wiki/Timeline_EventSources

Works for original-painter bands.
Does not work with overview bands at this time.
Status with other painters is unknown.

events go in a particular band and then maintain the vertical order of
