I'm wondering if anybody has tried to support piece-wise constant graphs in
timeplot?
Basically I would like to get

instead of
^
/ \
/ \
I have events that set the status quo to a particular level, and it stays
there until a new event comes along, so I'd prefer a P0 to the P1
interpolation. As that's closer to the truth in this case.
In theory, it shouldn't be totally hard to do, but if the splot I found is
right, it's really deep down in the innards. So if by any chance someone
else has that, I'd rather steal than hack myself ;-).
