Jan, yes, it's possible to configure several different timeline views 
differently in the same view panel.

Right now the center is automatically set. But if you use the trick to 
construct the timeline yourself, and set a center date that falls within 
the range of the data, then it will be kept as-is. To set the center 
date, you can call

    tl.getBand(0).scrollToCenter(date);

where tl is the variable containing the timeline you've just created.

I hear you... We can try to make it easier to override the timeline view 
in Exhibit in the future, but it's difficult to plug one powerful API 
(Timeline) into another (Exhibit).
