Thought some people might be interested in this... - John
-------- Original Message -------- [email protected] has posted a Discussion at http://groups.drupal.org/node/21852 Semantic Web & the U.S. national dialogue --------------- There are some interesting proposals to push the Semantic Web in the US Government. The main one is probably Publish recovery data as Linked Open Data proposed by Tim Berners Lee. Recovery.org is already powered by Drupal, and given the coming RDF sprint and RDFa in Drupal 7, this can have a great benefit for Drupal. Please have a look and leave a comment. See more information below from http://lists.w3.org/Archives/Public/semantic-web/2009May/0008.html The U.S. federal government is seeking (for one day more) input on technology approaches for collecting, publishing, visualizing, and analyzing data related to the federal stimulus program (ARRA) and the recovery.gov Web site. There are at least five idea submissions which people on this list might be interested in. I'd encourage anyone interested to take a look, comment, and rate the ideas that they support. I believe you need to register with a US zip code to comment & rate ideas. * Collect & publish recovery data with Semantic Web technologies: http://www.thenationaldialogue.org/ideas/make-collecting-recovery-data-a... * Publish recovery data as Linked Open Data: http://www.thenationaldialogue.org/ideas/linked-open-data * Use semantic lenses to provide flexible, extensible visualizations of recovery data: http://www.thenationaldialogue.org/ideas/easy-presentation-of-recovery-g... * Link recovery.gov and data.gov with semantic technologies: http://www.thenationaldialogue.org/ideas/use-semantic-technology-to-link... * Create an iPhone-app-store-like environment to encourage small, targeted applications for consuming recovery data: http://www.thenationaldialogue.org/ideas/consumer-friendly-201capp-store... --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "SIMILE Widgets" group.
