Hi Paul, You can create an extra band that has the same parameters as your data band, but no data source. Make it the first band; your data band will be the 2nd band. The net result will be date labels at the top and bottom of the timeline.
Connect the 2nd band to the 1st so they scroll together. Anothe option is to put the date of the event into the event's caption attribute. Then when the user hovers over an event she will saee the date. At present I have the timeline working in a page with a fairly large dataset behind it that means the user will typically have to scroll up or down to see particular entries. This is fine except for one thing. The date labels disappear when scrolling and the user loses the date context of the entry. Does anyone know of a way to 'fix' the location of the date labels so that they would always be in view? I have had a few attempts at trying this through css positioning but no luck. Any help/suggestions appreciated. Paul --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "SIMILE Widgets" group.
