If you're still having this problem, then Yes, using semi-colons should 
work.  I have used it several times myself although I don't usually use 
spaces before or after the semi-colon.


As for a hosting server, Exhibit would perform the sams as any standard 
HTML page, as it's just html/css/js files.  Server overload and 
bandwidth are the problems, especially with shared services.  Godaddy is 
well known for overloading their servers; standard HTML pages are OK 
there but anything more (like java apps) would slow things down quite a 
bit.  Their virtual dedicated boxes are OK but not usually worth it, and 
definitely not worth it for Exhibit pages. 

For a cheap (shared) hosting service, I've had success with West Host, 
for HTML pages as well as MySQL and PHP apps. IIRC, it's about $10 - $15 
per month; higher than many of the other shared services at $5 - $8 but 
better reliability and decent speed.  (although you'll probably get many 
different opinions the more people you ask!)
