Hi all,
If you happen to be near/in San Francisco next Saturday, please note
that Metaweb is holding a "hack day" on Freebase and related technologies:
http://freebasehackday.eventbrite.com/
Freebase (freebase.com) is a database of free structured data,
containing 5,000,000+ entries of 3,000+ types with 30,000+ fields. If
you're even remotely interested in upcoming "data web" technologies,
this will be interesting to you.
At this hack day, among various talks, Stefano will be running a
tutorial on how to use Freebase data in some of the Simile widgets. And
I'll be around for questions/answers.
It's all free, and there are 30 something seats left. Hope to see you there!
Cheers,
David
