I've been asking myself this same question about the Exhibit doc, and it appears that most of the doc is actually still on the old Simile wiki at http://simile.mit.edu/wiki/Exhibit. The new wiki at http://code.google.com/p/simile-widgets/wiki/Exhibit contains a few things and a link to the old wiki 'for more information'. I know it's a huge amount of work to migrate all the old doc to the new one, but since no one can edit the old wiki it seems like the doc will get pretty out-of-date with this approach.
One possibility is taking the pages under http://simile.mit.edu/wiki/Exhibit and creating a big PDF from them to move over to the new wiki. Of course that would preclude further editing of those pages but they're getting out-of-date anyway. Would that be helpful? Or figuring out which pages from the old wiki are really needed going forward (e.g. just the 'for authors' and 'for contributors' pages)?
