In the example at
http://simile-widgets.org/exhibit/examples/presidents/presidents.html
you can see how a "coder" can be used to specify colors for specific values

                <div  ex:role="coder"ex:coderClass="Color"id="party-colors">

                    <span  ex:color="red">Republican</span>
                    <span  ex:color="blue">Democratic</span>

                    <span  ex:case="others"ex:color="#aaa">Other parties</span>
                    <span  ex:case="mixed"ex:color="#eee">Many parties</span>
                    <span  ex:case="missing"ex:color="#444">No party</span>
                </div>

If you want to use special icons instead of colors, consider the ex:icon attribute of the map view.

Hi SIMILE community,

I had the fortunate opportunity to have Joern, the guy who created the earthquake mashup using SIMILE, to help me create a SIMILE Exhibit mashup. I was wondering if any of you could help me change the icons that appear on this map to particular colors or better yet specialized icons for each of the disaster types.

Here is the link to the website: http://www.oe-files.de/gmaps/desasterdemo.html
And I've attached the code as well.

Thanks, Sophia
