Hi Antoine. This message occurs if you visit dido via an http: url. Dido saves back to the original document location and doesn't know how to save to a web server. If you want to be able to save the file, you need to _first_ download the file to the machine where you are running your web browser and then open that _file_ in your web browser. In other words, for dido to save, you have to be looking at it in a file:// url.

hope this helps.

Hello,

I am trying to use Dido on my server <http://www.deuxieme-labo.fr/toxics/dido-full.html> but whenever I edit and save the data, I get the following error message: "can only save to a file". This is happening with Safari as well as Firefox (on a Mac). I have set the permissions on the dido-full.html file at the maximum (777), so I don't see what could go wrong…

Has someone any clue?

Many thanks in advance,

Antoine
