I think I've encountered a strange bug (?) in how the XML importer functions (http://www.simile-widgets.org/wiki/Exhibit/XML_Importer). I've been able to get the importer to work with all sorts of hairy files, even those with multiple tag namespaces, etc. The only thing that will consistently fail is any tag has the
type="text" attribute. This will cause a blank list of items (presumably because the XML has been mis-parsed. This is the only attribute and value pair that causes such a problem, and it happens with both single and double quotes.
