Thanks for the nudge, we're overdue for an update on the project... There is a beta (internal) release done now, and it's available via GitHub for the curious. We've loaded some large datasets (~100,000 records) into it and so far, so good. Other things like the new APIs are still in development. We still plan to have a public release this month, but realistically towards the end of the month to get as much into it as possible. There won't be much in the way of user documentation until later in the fall, so the August release will be for early adopters with a high tolerance for reading code...
We had an architecture planning meeting in July to nail down some details, and we'll post a summary of that soon. No surprises for those who've been following the architecture plans so far, but a bit more info on things like the HTML language and related services (babel, etc.).
