I've noticed a difference in scrolling performance of Timeline when using Firefox 9 compared to earlier versions of Firefox (on the Mac). The performance difference isn't so big if you have only two bands in your timeline, but with more bands, the performance goes down dramatically.
I've confirmed this behavior on the same computer using FF3.5.3 and FF9.0.1 with a timeline that has 12 bands sync'ed with an overview band. On FF3.5.3, the timeline drags relatively smoothly - not nearly as smooth as Safari or Chrome, but smooth enough not to complain. On FF9.0.1, dragging the timeline is objectionably slow and jerky. I've not yet pinned down which version of FF introduced this performance degredation, nor have I determined which methods are causing the slowdown. If anyone has seen similar behavior or has pointers, I'd appreciate hearing about it. Mike -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "SIMILE Widgets" group.
