Ages ago, I created a template to link from articles on Wikipedia, which have hCalendar microformats, (for example, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shirley_Bassey ) to http://www.siatec.net/timeline/index.php
That site is, as I'm sure you know, now dead.
