As for what you'll need to edit, you'll probably be looking at the time
extension, which can be found in src/webapp/api/extensions/time/scripts
of the exhibit codebase.

Harry, simile-widgets-dev is for low-level development discussions and
commit messages, not a useful place for user support. simile-widgets
is the right list, it's just that there's nobody specifically tasked
with support, so it's whatever you get in people's free time.
The best (as in only) resource for documentation of exhibit is the
wiki (http://simile-widgets.org/wiki/Exhibit). It contains as much
documentation as we've been able to assemble. If you discover anything
missing, remember it's a wiki---please add it so the next person has
an easier time!

Hi. My name is Harry Forsdick and I am new to this group, although I've
been around since the start of the ARPANet. I am pretty good at
HTML, CSS,
Javascript and php.
In http://bit.ly/KIpZBs I described my problem to the simile-widgets
group.
I have received no responses to that post. Now I have discovered the
existence of this group and have also refined my question and
terminology a
little.
I think what I would like to do is create an ed:centerDate="date"
command.
Someone has already referred me to a field named "centersOn" that
is used
in the Timeline.createBandInfo function -- but I don't know if the
setting
of this field is brought out to an ex: command.
OK. I have several questions:
1. Is there a place where ALL of the commands in the "ex"
namespace are
listed and defined? I would first like to understand if there is
something
like what I want to do already defined.
2. Do you have an idea (or someone I can ask) about what I will
need to
do to create this extension? I.e., the names and their source
file names
of commands that are similar to the command I want to create so
that I can
learn by example.
3. Is there any description of what you have to do in general to
extend
the sources to define a new command within the ex namespace?
Thanks,
