Answering out of order, but: simile Timeline is still in heavy use
around the web, and is stable. There is no ongoing development at the
present time. Contributors to the project are still active on this
mailing list and tend to answer questions about usage and programming.
Nobody is actively fixing bugs, but I'm not aware of any showstopper
bugs still in existence.
