Hi Mike. It's not the same, but someone repurposed the timeline many
years ago to map gene sequences:

Which shows that it can be done. I don't know how much coding was
involved; you might inquire of them.

Hi -
I'm working with a student who is interested in a timeline-like
visualization of a novel, but rather than the events being plotted
over time/date they'll be plotted over line number. The units will
not be days or seconds, but lines in the novel. In simple terms,
rather than a time/date value I would like to display the timeline as
units from 1 to 30,000 for example. Is there an easy way to do this?
Many thanks,
mike c
