Most likely it is this line: <script src="http://static.simile.mit.edu/ajax/api-2.2.0/simile-ajax-api.js"; type="text/javascript"></script>
I believe the server address has changed from 'static.simile.mit.edu' to 'api.simile-widgets.org'. Otherwise aal is the same. This timeline (that I helped create) http://www.alexstrick.com/timeline/ and which still works some years after creation calls the AJAX via 'static.simile.mit.edu'. If I recall, I did as some point have to update all the URLs pointing at the MIT server to the new domain.
