I tried this by simply adding https in front of https:// api.simile-widgets.org/ajax/2.2.1/simile-ajax-api.js <http://www.google.com/url?q=http%3A%2F%2Fapi.simile-widgets.org%2Fajax%2F2.2.1%2Fsimile-ajax-api.js&sa=D&sntz=1&usg=AFQjCNEPz5V5jZ996HGexSGZbtrJuX8YpQ>' which seems to work. The alternative is to download the simile code to you server and serve it from there.
Hope that is helpful.
