I manage network connectivity to and in some 300 buildings within a commuter campus. Power issues sometimes occur knocking entire regions on campus because I can't invest enough in UPS protection. Needless to say our network management platform can sometimes report several hundred simultaneous network outages. The outages can be node based, or link based. I would like to have a strategy to discern and handle large temporal events with one large ticket.
I use PairWithWindow to handle down/up transitions, so conceivably I could add a second rule that also adds the 'down' event to a context and then use 'report' to extract all of those events. The documentation around the use of 'report' seems vague to me so I am not clear on how to use it correctly. Can anyone offer guidance and a little more in terms of use cases for 'report' ?
