I'd like to use syslog-ng + SEC on my Ubuntu server, but they only ship an
old version - 2.0.9. The old version eats up memory like crazy, so I tried
installing the 3.0.6 deb package from Balabit (syslog-ng's company) but for
some reason can't get it to trigger SEC events. I can see that SEC
initializes in my syslog output, but nothing else happens. Otherwise, the
newer version of syslog-ng seems to work fine.
Any success for people with syslog-ng + SEC on Ubuntu? Thanks in advance for
any insight.
