Sorry for asking this though I'm not too good this but can you give me an idea 
on how you monitor alerts in real time? Do you run a script that would alert 
you visually on your monitor? Or notify you via email, etc ?

I don't know of any gui for managing SEC rules.

I also have trouble imagining what such a GUI would be like.

This is sort of like talking about a GUI for writing C programs.
