Bug description:
EPSON PM-A820's scanner is not recognized by default by Ubuntu on
Jaunty, Karmic and Lucid.
[WORKAROUND 1] : in Jaunty i just had to install libsane-extras
[WORKAROUND 2] : in Karmic and Lucid, I had to install Jaunty's
version of libsane-extras
[WORKAROUND 3] : in Lucid, installing libsane 1.0.21
(http://ppa.launchpad.net/robert-ancell/sane-
backends/ubuntu/pool/main/s/sane-
backends/libsane_1.0.21-2ubuntu1_i386.deb) works fine for me.
Hope that libsane 1.0.21 will soon be in the Ubuntu's repository !
