Journey Beyond Words

Greetings again. I am Jeshua. I have come this day To further, with you, my discussion of A Course in Miracles. Today I would speak to you of the Kingdom of God. Ultimately, that is all of which we speak. For the Kingdom of God is the goal, the end result, The state to which you go As you proceed through your sojourn on this earth. But more importantly, which we have said in different ways, But cannot overemphasize, The Kingdom of God merely IS. The Kingdom of God is not a state Which you are progressing toward. The Kingdom of God is not something Which you will one day achieve. The Kingdom of God, rather, is your natural state. For you were created part of that Kingdom. And God's Will demands that you never leave it. Over that you have no choice. The Kingdom of God IS what you are. And your existence, in reality, Is an _expression_ of that Kingdom. What really is the Kingdom of God? Ultimately, the Kingdom of God cannot be defined, Cannot be known by you on this earth, Cannot be fully experienced While you yet dwell in human form. However, do not be disheartened by that fact. Merely realize that it is the limitations Of this humanness you share Which make it impossible for you To fully experience the Kingdom of God here. I will speak to you now, in words, So that from these words you can experience That which is close to God's Kingdom. IN A WORD, THE KINGDOM OF GOD IS FREEDOM. The Kingdom of God is freedom in a sense so free, So unbound, and so unencumbered That those of you walking this earth Cannot fully comprehend it. Again, do not be dismayed. For freedom is a state you can find, And come close to, On this earth. And your freedom shall be your peace and your joy For as long as you choose to stay here. The Kingdom of God is freedom. (T.8.4.6) The Kingdom of God is love. (T.6.4.2) And as I have said many times before, Love is, indeed, freedom -- (T.16.6.2) And really, nothing more. So what is this freedom of which I speak? The freedom that is the essence, The hallmark of the Kingdom of God, Is your creative power given you by God. That freedom is the creative power Which allows you to be, and to experience, Anything you can imagine. In the Kingdom of God there is, of course, no time. But you on this earth still think in terms of time. So this freedom of which I speak is your freedom of creation, To be and to experience whatsoever you wish, Any time you wish to experience it, For as long as you shall choose to do so in this world of time. The Kingdom of God is freedom in the sense that it is absolute. Were God to have created you with restrictions, And yet like unto Himself, Then God Himself would be restricted, And would not be free. I tell you that is not the case, and has not happened. God created you like Himself, unfettered and unbound. Such is your freedom, and in the sense of your time, So shall it always be. Over that you have no choice. Indeed, I tell you, in the Kingdom of God Everything you experience is always The _expression_ of your creative ability manifesting itself As whatever it is you wish to imagine. And that is exactly what you find represented In your life here on this earth, Or in as many lifetimes as you imagine You have chosen to live on this earth. Each of them, each moment you experience, Is absolutely and completely The _expression_, in a form chosen by you, Of that creative power given you by God. That is why I have said to you so many times before That nothing can happen in your life Which is not completely and totally Your own choice. For you ARE of the Kingdom of God. Nothing can ever be part of your experience Lest you, of your creative power, First, imagine that it is so, And second, choose to experience it. Truly, this sojourn upon your earth, With all its struggle and pain and grief and misery -- All of it is what you have imagined, And chosen to experience. And in part, for a very good reason. God, in His own freedom, Created you free. You are Spirit, unbound, unfettered, Freer than the wind, Able to be and to experience anything you wish. And all of Creation shares with you, in delight, Whatever it is that you wish to imagine, And to experience. Then what is this earth about? This earth and all its toils Is the result of you, in your freedom, Imagining what it would be like To be separate from the rest of the universe, From the rest of Creation. So those of you who have come here Are playing that out in your Oneness. And your creativeness is so real, and so effective, That those of you here, for the most part, Actually believe this experience to be real. Indeed, I tell you, You will laugh with me the day you see The truth of all this illusion. A chuckle, a smile, And you shall be free. How is it that those of you here choose to stay In this world of misery and toil and fear and death? If you are, indeed, free, Why would any of you do this? The answer is to be found, once again, in your values. Recall, when you value something, You believe its presence in your life Is necessary in order for you to be happy, or peaceful, Or even for you to exist. And when once you believe such within your being, You have given an imagined reality To that which you believe you need. But you have also created fear, And your own death. Have you ever thought to yourself, What really is this fear? For I have said there are only two emotions, Love and fear. (T.13.5.1) And I have said love is freedom. (T.16.6.2) So what is this fear, really? FEAR IS THE FEELING YOU HAVE WHEN YOU ANTICIPATE THE LOSS OF SOMETHING YOU VALUE. How, then, does one become free of fear? 'Tis simple, is it not? Be free of your valuing. That is all. Let go of your values, of all that which you deem Necessary in order for you to BE. Let go of those values, And you shall be free. When you do, you shall spread your wings And fly into the world of love, And into the Kingdom of God. Perhaps you feel it is so difficult To imagine loving without valuing. Indeed, those of you here on this earth May find it most difficult To imagine loving without valuing. But I tell you, in the Kingdom of God It is not possible to love and value at the same time. When you value something, anything, You have a sense of NEEDING whatever it is. You have a sense of needing that something To BE a certain thing, or a certain way, In order for YOU to be What you wish to be. Therefore, you restrict yourself, And put yourself in a prison. Insofar as you EVER want another being, Or another circumstance, to BE a certain way, Which YOU define, You would deny freedom to that being, or that circumstance. And as you deny freedom to another, You are really saying within your soul, "I do not wish YOU to be free. Nor do I wish for MY SELF to be free." Imagine that God Himself, When He made you His Son, and co-creator of All That Is -- Imagine that He said, "I create you the Son of God, EXCEPT FOR . . . ," And then placed restrictions on what you could do, or be. You would not be free. And NEITHER WOULD GOD HIMSELF. God, in His wisdom, knew that, And made you free. You are even free to imagine all of this earth, To imagine it so real that you seem to come here And struggle with all of its existence. Indeed, you cannot change what you ARE. But you are free to IMAGINE yourself To be anything you wish. Such is the freedom given you by God. And I ask you now, Do your brothers deserve any less than God has given you? When you value, You ultimately are saying to another being, or circumstance, "I want you to be free, EXCEPT FOR . . . ," Then you place the restrictions. Then you set up the prison bars. And the longer the list that follows "EXCEPT FOR . . . ," The less love you can know. The only way, the ONLY way You can know and experience real love Is to know and experience real freedom. And the only way you can experience real freedom Is to give absolute freedom to all beings, WITH NO EXCEPTIONS. And the only way you can love thusly is not to value. The Kingdom of God is, indeed, Likened to the playtime of little children. For little children create with their imaginations Anything which they wish to imagine. They do not become attached to it, Do not cry when their imaginings are done. They merely let them go And move on to another set of imaginings. Such is the goal of God for each and all of you. How is it that you can feel comfortable, and free, About loving without valuing? The answer is this -- Hear me well. For this is what you need to know within your being. As the Son of God, as co-creator with God, You ALWAYS experience, in each moment, EXACTLY what it is you choose to experience. And whatever it is you shall imagine Shall BE that which you experience. And all of Creation shall celebrate it with you. Try for a moment now, To go beyond your thinking to experience. Try to feel what it would be like to be so free that you KNEW That in ANY instant of your time You could experience EXACTLY what you chose to experience, With no limitations and no restrictions. What then, would be the purpose of valuing anything? For valuing MUST be tied to your fear That something shall pass away. So try to realize within your being What it would be like to know That if you had a particular experience which delighted you, You are free to experience it, to reexperience it, And to reexperience it for as long as you like -- Exactly that same experience. And nothing in all of Creation can stop you from doing that, Or can take it away from you. Everything you experience comes from within you. There is no circumstance external to yourself Which can control that which you do or feel. And THAT is what makes you free. So try to imagine within your being the confidence, The freedom you would feel in knowing That every instant you are free To experience exactly what you choose. If you have had an experience of love, as you call it, Which you want to reexperience, You can do so, anytime. And nothing can stop you from having that experience. Nothing, that is, except your valuing and your fear. Even experiences on this earth, in this physical plane, You are free to experience and to reexperience as oft as you like. And nothing can stop you from doing so except your values And the fear that follows from them. An important comment now -- In your valuing, and the fear that follows from it, You always insist on FORM. In the world of Spirit, Form does not exist, Only CONTENT. (T.16.5.12) But you, on this earth, When you experience what you call physical love, Always seem to believe that that love will be lost Unless the FORM is maintained by the presence Of certain bodies, the ones you have chosen. Nothing is further from the truth, That this should be necessary. For the essence is the feeling, and the experience. And to the extent that you wish to experience love, In whatever manner you choose, You can experience that as long as You free yourself of the values That demand a certain form of your choosing. Thus we say, Take your thoughts, relax, and let them go. For when you let them go, You let go your desire and demand for specific form, As well as the values which accompany that desire. And then the whole universe, in all its Oneness, Shall rush in to fill your being With whatever it is you wish to experience, With whatever it is you can imagine. What is the Kingdom of God, then? It is your natural state. It is what you are. (T.4.3.1) It is your freedom, unbound and unfettered, To experience anything you can imagine, Anytime, and for as long as you like. And the doorway through which You enter the Kingdom of God, Which you can do in an instant, if you choose, Is the doorway at which you shed all your values, And the fear that comes with them. For then you pass into a world of freedom, And a world of true love, In which you shall give absolute freedom To every being and circumstance in your life. You shall therefore experience for yourself That same absolute freedom. And, without your values, The whole universe shall, with great love, Rush in to fill your being With whatever you shall desire.
