Aren't ego thoughts (email is only representative of e-thoughts or ego thoughts if you wish) deleted (in an alogorical sense) when we trun our thought to Oneness?
To perception, it seems they are deleted or modified. In reality, they never were...so yes, but not really.

However, it is not necessary to categorize or qualify thoughts (plural)...for all thoughts are ego thoughts. Ego and using the mind for thinking is the same thing.

ACIM talks a lot in perceptual terms, changing gears a lot, and frankly muddles things quite a bit on this and other issues, speaking of the Holy Spirit's thought system, etc. But the Holy Spirit does not think in terms of processing multiple thoughts, but knows one whole and infinite reality expressed as the single whole thought, also called the creation, Son of God, etc. Process, change, accomplishment, etc., are all ways of talking about the ego or misuse of mind function.

We do not turn our thought to Oneness in terms of thinking thoughts, although it definitely seems that way. And as to the single whole thought of God, which thought's holiness is its wholeness, we restore our willingness to see it, so figuratively, this seems like we are turning to it; however, it is what we are, making turning to it impossible. But for all dreamside or practical purposes of explanation, "turning to it" works just fine. I say we do not turn our thought to Oneness because Oneness is beyond the domain that thinking can address. To use the phrase "turn to God or Oneness" and intend a meaning as correct as words can proffer, would be a turning from misuse of mind function by thinking....to correct use of mind function by applying willingness to recognize that we do already both wholly see and know the reality of self. In other words, this would involve cessation of thinking, which many try to do and claim to have done...but the thinking habit is not broken that easily, and when it is, it is not broken by deciding to stop thinking, but by willingness to allow it to cease of its own through offering "willing" attention to the reality of self.

The problem with latching onto such an idea is that we then tend to "think" of it as something we think or do or accomplish, effectively substituting more of the same and calling it what it isn't. I say "problem" simply because it brings us full circle to square one, which can be a source of frustration...but of course, it isn't truly a problem, for we are whole and complete and perfect right now, making "problems" rather impossible.
