In its current state SIMS is not ready for a final release (I mean 1.8 final) - the
major task for the final released would be updating the documentation.

Worse, not all features implemented into the current beta (1.8b9) are activated, since
they affect the core of the application (the router module) and are not yet debugged
thoroughly. That's why the current beta is not available via ftp yet.

All this caused by a catastrophical lack of time I can spend on SIMS development. If
there were some initiative group ready to take over SIMS development, keeping its
freeware status, I could try to persuade my managers open SIMSsources, at least under
some NDA. We all would benefitfom that.
