Whoa. You must be using some really fast disks to make this work, and work
fast. How "old" of a Mac do you run this on? My 300Mhz beige G3 is,
technically an "old Mac" (3 or 4 years old now) but that doesn't mean that
it's a slow Mac. I use it as my web server, and I let the windoze worms
hit it without a "firewall" because firewalls aren't a part of the
"Macintosh Way."
Unless it's a DoS attack, a Mac should never need a firewall.
If it *IS* a DoS attack, then even some firewalls can start to buckle.
If it's a Windoze box....well, then you're just plain screwed, firewall or
not. <g>
