Yes, I recall some mention of this in previous threads.

My university doesn't supply an SMTP server to the students, so I run 
SIMS for my personal use. Usually the DNS servers are quite snappy, 
though the network dost suckest mightily.

Hmm...I'll try setting up a local DNS server, just to poke around 
with it. and see what happens.
