I never cared about the startup sequence. I think SIMS starts first because it comes before WebTen in the alphabet, and I did not experience any problems. The only thing is if you want to send mail from WebTen to SIMS (e.g. a www-form that goes to a recipient on the same machine), you can't do this easily if OT and WebTen use the same physical ethernet interface. You can use a second ethernet card, and everything works okay. I have this on a PMac 8600 with MacOS 8.1, and I am doing the same setup on the new server which will be a beige G3 with MacOS 9.x. If you have 9.1, there is a patch for WebTen to make it run as supposed that can be downloaded from Tenon. Best wishes, Christian. -- Christian F.
