You don't happen to have QuickDNS Pro running on the same Mac as SIMS do you? and being used by SIMS for name-lookups? There was a weird incompatability between QuickDNS Pro and (some of/one of?) the "new" RBL servers. We had a colocated SIMS & QuickDNS Mac that suddenly turned very unstable; replaced it with a new machine, completely clean system, and the problem didn't go away. Turned out to be QuickDNS Pro crashing on the RBL lookups...
