It's not at all silly.  The easiest way to do this is the following:

1.  Set up a "receive" account and a "destination" account (e.g.,
    [EMAIL PROTECTED] for the receive, and [EMAIL PROTECTED]
    for the destination).  You'll always check the terry-mail account
    for mail, not the terry account.

2.  Set up the receive account to save mail only to a folder.  (Or, if
    you think you might want to recover the attachment, to both folder
    and mailbox.)

3.  Set up the folder for the receive account with an attached script that
    strips attachments (I'm working on one right now) and then moves the
    message file into the Submitted folder with the proper headers to
    deliver it to the destination account.  It'll be easiest to do this
    if the name of the destination account can be derived from the receive
    account, as we did above.
