Can't make heads or tails of this. Yesterday, the 10-09 log stopped at 20:37:43, after delivering a message normally. The log file was not particularly large as my logs go, about average.
Then, while we were still living on 10-09, the 10-10 log started at time 20:44:51. I can provide a screen shot of the web interface which at the top says "Log 2001-10-10" and which shows this line close to the top: "20:54:49 3 SYSTEM The current date is Tuesday, October 9, 2001" It gets weirder. Startign with this time stamp, the log for 10-10 is chock filled with these lines (over and over, from different IPs): 23:10:42 1 SMTP(tcp) Rejecting Connection from [an IP], seq=533. 5/6 23:16:16 1 SMTP too many (50) lines already opened I note this changeover to the new day at midnight: 23:58:59 1 SMTP too many (50) lines already opened 23:58:59 1 SMTP(tcp) Rejecting Connection from [another IP], seq=548. 4/5 00:03:46 0 SYSTEM Opening a new log file on Wednesday, October 10, 2001 And then it continues with rejecting all connections until this in the logs: 04:59:08 1 SMTP too many (50) lines already opened 04:59:08 1 SMTP(tcp) Rejecting Connection from [IP], seq=682. 10/11 09:37:06 3 SMTP-794([131.193.178.181]) Abort Received, reason=54 09:37:06 3 SMTP-789([205.252.14.6]) Abort Received, reason=54 (note the almost 5 hr gap). The balance of the log (every remaining line) is Abort Received, Reason=54 until I restarted SIMS. WTF?
