Although anyone can point their reverse to make their ip look like any host. Only the maintainers of the domain can adjust the forward DNS (unless it is hacked or poorly setup). Though there is a not a TON of point in doing this in an MTA since so many ISP are either to stupid or lazy to set up proper reverse and forward DNS.
